Kingsland Church provides a quality conference venue, conveniently situated with good transport links from Colchester or the A12, Colchester North Station and Central Bus Station. Modern facilities and a great suite of rooms will meet all your conferencing needs for any group between 2 and 400 people.
King’s Café is the heart of our Community Centre. Here you can enjoy hot and cold light lunches, tea, coffee and a selection of cakes and snacks. We cater for small boardroom style meetings, educational classes, workshops, AGM’s or larger conferences. Just let us know your needs and our team will be pleased to help, making your event in Colchester a great success.
Audio-Visual Facilities
We have full PA and projector facilities, flip charts, sofas and tables. Our auditorium is equipped with a full digital sound desk and high quality performance sound rig ideal for concerts and music events.
We are confident there is a room and facilities at Kingsland Church to meet your requirements. Rooms are available from 9am until 10pm, we charge by the hour and a minimum hire period applies in the evenings.
As well as the option for room only hire by the hour as quoted for each room in the tabs below, we offer a £17 + VAT per person day rate to include lunches and refreshments, and a couple of buffet selections for your delegates. Contact us for more details.

This is our auditorium which can seat up to 400 people. It has a great PA system and is ideal for concerts, conferences, weddings and special events. The room can be extended by combining with Genesis and Joshua to increase the seating capacity.
Shekinah is located adjacent to King’s Café making it an ideal for events that require catering and refreshments.
Daniel is perfectly suited for smaller conferences or team building events. It is popular with dance, keep fit and drama groups. It is the second largest room at Kingsland. It can accommodate up to 80 delegates in a theatre style layout and up to 50 delegates cabaret style.
As is with our other rooms, the Daniel room is ready for you to use video projectors and AV equipment.
The Daniel room also benefits from a small servery at the back with a hot water boiler and the provision of cups. Refreshments can be arranged in advance from King’s Café as part of the conference booking.
The Daniel room costs £20 + VAT an hour with possible extras for set up, use of AV equipment and refreshments.
Genesis benefits from in-built AV facilities, layout flexibility, and the option of having refreshments served in the room; alternatively you can make use of the refreshments at King’s Café. To increase capacity, this room can be combined with the Joshua room to create a space for up to 50 people.
The Genesis room costs £12 + VAT an hour with possible extras for set up, use of AV equipment and refreshments. Combined with Joshua, the room charge is £20 + VAT an hour.
Joshua is well suited for boardroom meetings for up to 25 delegates, workshops and small group settings; or for up to 30 in a cabaret style or as a breakout room as part of the larger conference.
Joshua can be connected to Genesis to create a larger space, which can accommodate up to 45 in a boardroom style or 65 in a conventional meeting layout. The rooms can be used as one large space or in conjunction with each other.
Joshua benefits from inbuilt AV facilities, layout flexibility, and the option of having refreshments served in the room; alternatively you can make use of the refreshments at King’s Café.
The Joshua room costs £15 + VAT an hour with possible extras for set up, use of AV equipment and refreshments. Combined with Genesis, the cost is £20 + VAT an hour.
This is our largest lounge, with seven comfy sofas and other seating available. Ideal for larger groups and informal meetings, it is separated from the hub of the centre near the top of the stairs and lift. The Samuel room has excellent audio-visual facilities so is used for the Film Club, Youth Church and a host of meetings for up to 30 people.
The Samuel room costs £15 + VAT an hour with possible extras for use of AV equipment and refreshments.
Esther is well suited for informal meetings and workshops. The room benefits from a relaxed atmosphere, carpeted layout with sofas and in-built AV facilities. The room can comfortably accommodate 18 people.
The Esther room costs £12 + VAT an hour with possible extras for use of AV equipment and refreshments.
The Ruth room lends itself to educational settings, workshops, breakout sessions and boardroom style meetings. As with the other rooms across the site there are in-built AV facilities which allow you to use this room as part of a larger conference or for display or presentation purposes. The room can accommodate up to 18 people in a boardroom style or 25 in a breakout or smaller group setting.
The Ruth room costs £12 + VAT an hour with possible extras for use of AV equipment and refreshments.
The Joel room lends itself to educational settings, workshops, breakout sessions and boardroom style meetings. As with the other rooms across the site there are in-built AV facilities which allow you to use this room as part of a larger conference or for display or presentation purposes. The room can accommodate up to 18 people in a boardroom style or 25 in a breakout or smaller group setting.
The Joel room costs £12+ VAT an hour with possible extras for use of AV equipment and refreshments.
This is our smallest room, ideal for interviews and counselling sessions. It is private and yet conveniently close to King’s Café for easy access.
The Amos room costs £8 + VAT an hour with possible extras for use of AV equipment and refreshments.
