We love getting involved in things around our town and local area. Here’s just a few of the projects that folks from Kingsland are currently work in and supporting. Jump in and get involved too. Wherever you go, God goes too!
Colchester Soup Run
Along with many other churches from around Colchester we take food and hot drinks into the town to distribute amongst the homeless and those in need. We usually provide for around 30 – 40 people each Monday evening.
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is passionate about releasing people in our nation from a life sentence of debt, poverty and their causes. Working with the Church we bring good news, hope and freedom. Some of our folks work at the Colchester CAP centre and run the money management course here at the church.
Colchester Street Pastors
Several Church members are Street Pastors. They walk the streets late on Friday or Saturday night to help people in trouble, provide a listening ear or just be a friendly face.
Beacon House is a Christian charity offering healthcare and wellbeing facilities to those who are homeless, in insecure accommodation, or at high risk of homelessness. A number of people around Kingsland are involved with this vital work.
