We regularly run the Alpha Course at Kingsland Church, an international course introducing the basics of Christian faith through a series of talks and discussions. Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting in weekly sessions.
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring Christianity. Each talk, across 11 sessions, looks at a different question around faith and God.
Each session includes a short film and a discussion where you can share your thoughts and ideas with an online small group. If at any point you decide Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem. There's no pressure, no follow up and no charge. Just bring a coffee, bring a friend, bring family.
When does Alpha start? A new online Alpha will start on Monday 20th July. Arrive for a 7.45pm start, and we aim to finish by 9.00pm latest. Come to all of the session, or just dip your toe in with one and see how you find it.
How do I connect? Join Alpha via ZOOM*, either click here or in the Zoom app use access number: 830 3350 2318 at 7.45pm every Monday evening.
What happens when I connect? You will be invited to join the meeting from a waiting room. The waiting room opens at 7.45pm.
Each week, we will hear from someone who has encountered God in their life, with a chance to ask them questions. We then watch a short Alpha film, and after this discuss any questions or views arising from the film.
* You don’t have to, but you may want to email Karen to let her know you are coming, and then she can keep in touch with you directly, email: firstname.lastname@example.org

If you have done Alpha and would like to know more, Beta is for you. The Beta course is the follow up course and next step on from the Alpha course and is a great oppurtunity to explore your faith further. At Beta we will look at how as Christians we can develop our faith and refresh and strengthen the foundations of our walk with God.
