Colchester Soup Run
Along with many other churches from around Colchester we take food and hot drinks into the town to distribute amongst the homeless and those in need. We usually provide for around 30 – 40 people on a Monday evening and monthly on Saturdays.
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is passionate about releasing people in our nation from a life sentence of debt, poverty and their causes. Working with the Church we bring good news, hope and freedom. Some of our folk work at the Colchester CAP centre as a manager, debt advisor or befriender, or run the money management course.
Colchester Street Pastors
Several Church members are Street Pastors. They walk the streets late on Friday or Saturday night to help people in trouble, provide a listening ear or just be a friendly face.
Beacon House is a Christian charity offering healthcare and wellbeing facilities to those who are homeless, in insecure accommodation, or at high risk of homelessness. A number of people around Kingsland are involved with this vital work.
Christian Youth Outreach (CYO) is a youth and schools ministry serving schools and churches in the Colchester area.
Korban is a Christian based charity providing supported housing for 16 – 25 year olds who have found themselves in crisis. Again several Church partners lead and help in this vital ministry offering young people a home, support and guidance as they prepare themselves for independence.
