Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Kingsland Church Colchester to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Kingsland Church Colchester we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Kingsland Church Colchester to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Kingsland Church Colchester will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Kingsland Church Colchester receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

Hiya

Hiya web, trust you’re having a good week

Been thinking a lot recently about the future of the church here and I’m excited at the potential for this next season. It’s hard to look back and see how we were moving at such a speed a couple of years ago and how life then became rather different. It’s frightening to think back on how many times we had to change and adapt to a constantly evolving situation. We’re hopeful there won’t be too many more major changes.

We are seeing so many groups and activities in the building, the Cafe is happening again and church is back! Certainly Sundays feel very normal. Check out Sevens sermon from Sunday here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBIYwfFck_s  There is lots of space particularly in the early service, the evening service and Wednesday at 1. Having the children in their separate groups from the start and opening the Genesis room has created more room at 11 as well.

It’s been exciting to see Messy Church and the toddler group get established, some new discipleship groups have started and most of the community groups are working well.

Remix starts tonight at 6 for youngsters in years 7 to 13. It includes food. Marvellous.

And we’re offering lifts for uni students this week. Can you help?

Added to all that we are beginning to think about what will happen when Aldi move out downstairs. We have no rights to the space till the end of 2024, though we may be able to do something before then.

And there are a few special events, the WOW conference on the 13th Nov, the pantomime with Duggie Doug Doug on Dec 3rd comedians and carols on the 19th Dec

So I’m very optimistic about the future. All of it is open to you. This is your invite and if you’d like to find out more please reply or email sara@kingsland.org.uk

I’d love for you to join us in partnership, we are seeing more evidence of the growth kingdom of God among us and want to be together as we push into that. If you consider kingsland your church please join us for connections on Sun 24th Oct after the second service. As partners we commit together to our partnership covenant… ill pop it below

Must go

Grace and peace

Neil
