Hiya web, trust you’re having a good week
Can’t believe it’s November already. We’re doing a sale in the bookshop for November – 10% off all books and cards – get someone something good for Christmas….
At a staff meeting this morning we were celebrating that it has been so nice to see so many people in the last couple of months. The cafe and room bookings are running well and there’s a general upward trend in usage, and a lot of pleased clients. There seems to be a momentum about the services on Sunday and Wednesdays. Things like the light party, with over 80 children and Messy church this Sunday (please book) are so good. Remix too, which will happen tonight for secondary school and college youngsters from 6. Brilliant
November means the WOW conference is fast approaching…. Sat 13th… This women’s event as been so significant for so many and we trust that this year will be really special as we gather for fragments from the last couple of years experiences. Please book your tickets here : https://wowglobal2021.eventbrite.co.uk
Men’s breakfast is this Saturday, 8.30 with Samuel Sofoluwe, booking by Thursday please to Ian@kingsland.org.uk
I have to admit that, while I vowed at the beginning of the pandemic that I would not fear at all, I have been slightly reluctant to organise Christmas and find myself putting it off. To be honest it’s probably been like that every year! However we have a fantastic pantomime on Fri Dec 3rd, it looks like we have a Christmas Sunday lunch on 12th December, comedians and carols on the 19th and a load of free events and services, (including, we hope, a crossover service,) between the 19th Dec and the 7th Jan.
tickets for the Panto are £5 either from eventbrite – try the QR code – or from the church
Working on a big push for Alpha for next year – starting in person on Mon 17th Jan – please plan to invite people….
anyway, I hope to see you tonight at the partners meeting
grace and peace
