Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Kingsland Church Colchester to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Kingsland Church Colchester we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Kingsland Church Colchester to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Kingsland Church Colchester will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Kingsland Church Colchester receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

Hiya

Hiya web, trust you’re having a good week

Happy new year! May it be a good’un as we rise above the year of the duck!

This week we are praying together, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:30 in shekinah or  on zoom, in our usual zoom room 589 493 2558, password coffee. Please be part f it as we pray for this year

Wednesday at 1 starts again tomorrow, and the discipleship groups start again next week. We will be looking together at Phillipians for a few weeks on Sunday morning and in the groups (I need a decent title) and I’m excited at the way that the groups will make the teaching even more relevant and practical as we discover what discipleship looks like in this season.

Our next steps leaflet outlines a whole load of other groups and activities which are available to you and your friends. I’ve attached the leaflet; Groups on next week include Grieftalk (Monday 10.30) and Widowtalk (thurs 10.30), the what’s app book club, wed bible study at 11am, 4business* (Monday 7.45pm) little stars toddler group (mon 10am) the Kingsland community its gospel choir (wed 7.15), board games* (Fri 14 8pm), netball (wed 6pm at st Benedict’s), table tennis (fri 7.30), Creative worship with MIW* (tues 8pm) and prayer for the nations (fri 11am). All of those are here in the Centre apart from netball and all apart from the 3  with the * are weekly opportunities. The * ones are monthly but are meeting next week. There are a variety of other groups starting later this month or next.

There’s also the weekday prayer in tongues on Zoom –  589 493 2558 password coffee  – from 8.15 each morning for 30 minutes.

Defib and CPR training on Monday 10th at 10am and again thurs 13th at 8pm

And Alpha starts on Mon 17th, 7.45. There are 2 alphas at the same time, one in the cafe with Vivienne and Karen, one online with Yas on Zoom 8303 350 2318

It’s good to feel we are getting going again!

As a leadership we have decided not to deconstructed away from the larger Sunday and Wednesday gatherings where we trust people come for inspiration, interaction and encouragement. These events are so good for worship, setting culture, hearing something together, meeting people different from us etc. We do believe strongly in the value of these celebrations.

We also really value the small group opportunity to connect at a deeper level, work it out together and develop spiritual relationship. Small groups and small group activities are great places to be church in circles. Please join in and make the most of Kingsland.

We have yet to hear of any developments downstairs. We are told there is a very interested party, keen to take the Aldi unit for three years, but nothing has happened as yet. I’ll let you know when I hear anything. In the meantime we continue to develop the ministry of the church particularly through the hubs outlined in the Next Steps leaflet.

have a good week and a wonderful 2022

grace and peace
