Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Kingsland Church Colchester to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Kingsland Church Colchester we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Kingsland Church Colchester to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Kingsland Church Colchester will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Kingsland Church Colchester receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

Hiya

Hiya web, trust you’re having a good week

I’m so pleased that so many of the groups have started this week. I did the video for the discipleship groups yesterday (you can watch it here https://youtu.be/DC8U-WwnVJY  – some of the groups use it in their meetings, others watch it beforehand.) Discipleship groups are a great way of practicalising (Is that word? Should be) the things we think about on Sunday mornings and applying them to our lives so we become whole-life disciples of Jesus. I’m sure that’s part of Gods commitment to finish what he started in us!

As well as the discipleship groups there’s loads going on. Do you have a look at the attached leaflet. Some of these things are courses, some are monthly, some are drop -ins and some are ongoing commitments. Please have a read because I’m sure there’s someone you know who could benefit from being part of this community too

Of course one of the best things that we do is Alpha, and it’s a delight that we are able to offer alpha online and in person on the 17th January, that’s next Monday. Please plan to invite someone either to the building here or to Alpha zoom room 83033502318. Marvellous

Another good thing we do is Connections – its the way into partnership here . web, you are very welcome to our next session which is after the second service on Sun 6th Feb – we’ll start about 12.45 and finish by 2

As I said on Sunday, I love some of the things that we are doing as a partnership. Mark at Korban is facilitating a night stop program  – a bed for a night or 3 for young people at risk of homelessness. He spoke about this at a service before Christmas and there is a Q&A session on Thursday at 7 pm on zoom. Pre registering is essential,  here https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJMsdu-hqD4vGd13Bi2vrnwklhftEyUxcoFM

Michelle and the MIW team are participating in Worship Wave, an international 24 hour worship event. Part of it will be led live from Kingsland from 2 – 2.45pm on Sat 29th Jan by our team. A live stream will be available in Shekinah 2pm – 8pm, you are welcome to join in, or register online via MIW.org.uk to participate online (Fri 8pm – Sat 8pm).

And here are a few dates for your 2022 diary….

Sat 19th Feb  we’d love to organise a family fun day at the church and in the car park. 2 years ago we had 900 people enjoying a host of activities, bouncy castle face painting music, the cafe some sports create games and family activities, can we do it again?

Sun 27th Feb guest speaker, our friend David Campbell, the Elim regional director will be with us for the morning services

Sat 19th March Walk worthy men’s conference. Yay!

Sat 7th May, planning a prophetic intensive, a training day at church. Oooh

Sun 5th June 10.30 colchester churches Pentecost morning service at Charter Hall. Wow!

1-3 July (fri Eve to sun pm) Kingsland away weekend at Sizewell hall, house and camping. glory!

Sat 22nd sept free family Fun Festival castle park Colchester. Yes!

Of course it’s a faith step to think these can go ahead. Some of this faith is grateful  expectation that people will step forward to be involved, some that finances will be forthcoming, some that we will be allowed to do it and some that people will be confident enough to come along join in. Please pray!

Have a great week

Grace and peace

Neil
