Youth & Children

We look forward to seeing you!

Jump in, be part of the scene at Kingsland no matter how young or old. There’s something for everyone. Our children and youth have a great choice of activities mid week and Sundays that will help them learn and discover how to follow Jesus with all their heart, strength, body and mind. No matter what age, there’s something for your family to help you grow and adventure together.

If you are in year 9-13 at school or college check out Remix. There’s lots of good things happening, it’s all relevant for your life and your friends too.

Remix is our fun, interactive & informative service for school years 7-13. We meet at 6:00pm and start with a lovely dinner made for by our congregation. Then we start with funny a video competition, games, a helpful and relevant short talk and small group session separating each year group. We then finish off with a lovely pudding at 8:05pm.

Then there are Sunday Remix sessions at both 9:15 & 11am led by a team of talented youth workers selected from our lovely congregation. Shaun is our youth worker and comes to hang out sometimes too.

Friday nights from 7.30 – 9pm is the CO3 cafe night. With chance to chat, games and activities and discussions. CO3 is a chilled place to be on Fridays.

Every summer a large number of young people from church ranging from school years 7-13 attened Satellites, a christian summer festival that does a fantastic job of introducing young people to Jesus and calling them into a deeper relationship. Many young people have given their lives to Jesus at Satellites and many more have experienced Him in a new way!

Meeting on Sunday mornings and during the week, Kingsland is the place to hang out if you are in secondary school.

Our group, Remix Junior”s, meets on Sundays at 9:15 & 11am for discussion, games, bible study and being together. So, like the other Sunday groups, we join the rest of the church at the start of the service and then have our own group to encourage each other and learn together.

Our kids love to have fun, play games and talk about the bible on Sundays and during the week

On Sunday mornings at 9.15 or 11am, we all get together in the church with the adults first but then after a while we go out to make our own group which we call Adventurers. We learn from the bible, pray, play games, sometimes we do craft and just hang out together with our friends.

Mega Kids Club is once a month on Sunday at both Sunday morning services. (Mega Kids is when both groups join together and learn about Jesus and have fun)

Are you in school years 4-6 and do you like to have fun when schools out? Then come to Livewires on Friday nights from 6.30-7.30 and there will be loads of fun! We do loads of things like games, crafts and lots of other fun thing, at the end of terms we have a social night … I can’t remember everything because we are always doing so much, We all meet up at the church in Lexden and have a crazy time together. If you bring a friend, they can come for free on the first night and after that we pay £1 subs each time. The leaders are all nice too, so we can have lots of fun.

Some of us are involved in the Kingsland Children’s Choir which meets on Saturday mornings. Lots of us join in for the Holiday Club which runs for three days over the summer holidays, usually in the last week of August.

There’s a group for all of our active youngsters who like discovering the world through play and adventure, bible stories and songs.

From school years reception to year 3, each group is designed to be a place of fun and constructive play through which children can learn about the love of Jesus.

On Sunday mornings at 9.15 or 11am, we all get together in the church with the adults first but then after a while we go out to make our own group which we call Bubbles & Splash. We learn from the bible, pray, play games, sometimes we do craft and just hang out together with our friends.

Our team ensures the children’s wellbeing is a key priority. It is an honour to be teaching these young children, sharing with them as they grow in their understanding of Jesus’ love, explore friendships and the world around them. It is a privilege to be a small part of their lives and work with their parents too.

On the last Sunday of the month at both services, groups join for a Mega Kids club with the rest of the primary school children. (Mega Kids is when both groups join together and learn about Jesus and have fun)

Our fantastic Little Stars baby group runs on  a Monday morning in term time from 10am

Parents are welcome to bring their babies and toddlers to use our Crèche room on Sunday mornings which has a live stream of the Sunday service for the parents and lots of fun and safe toys for the children.

This is our messy, interactive, fun children’s event which happens once a month.

The recommended age is from pre-school to primary aged families. You can expect lots of mess, crafts, singing and a story. Keep an eye on our Facebook page @kingslandchurch for the next event.

All our children’s teams here at Kingsland are DBS checked and work hard to plan appropriate activities for this age group who seem to have boundless energy and can be very excitable – it’s great!
